WHO WE ARE
Can we create a better world together? Absolutely.
Are you on fire for justice and believe in the dignity of every human being? Are you convinced that with common sense leaders and better choices, we can meet every challenge we face?
If you are a candidate, a caucus chair, a labor union leader, or heading up a mission-based organization, we may be the strategic partner you are looking for.
Taylor Coots, Principal
Taylor is an experienced political consultant who gets results for his clients. Since 2005, Taylor has worked on nearly three dozen races in nine states - from city council to the Iowa Caucus. Since 2018, he has leveraged his staff level experience in field, political and campaign management to build incredible campaigns and caucus programs that exceed expectations and win. Most notably, he planned the 2014 House Caucus program in Kentucky that helped hold the house in a red wave and helped Charles Booker nearly pull off a historic upset in the 2020 U.S. Senate race - coming from down 50 points to lose by only 2. Focusing on culture, trust, and relationship building and by co-creating a vision with his candidates and partners, Taylor builds and then executes smart, nimble, efficient, impactful plans. Taylor is a devoted husband, a new girl dad and a dog dad.
Fun Fact
Taylor is taking voice lessons. He can’t sing and as a true novice, the listener experience is described as marginal, at best.
Kelsey Coots, Principal
Kelsey grew up in a family and tight knit community that taught her the importance of service - to others and to a cause bigger than herself. Since then, she has pursued a mission to take on inequity and fight for a better world. First, as a teacher leader in Houston, then as an award winning teacher in Louisville. Starting in 2014, her mission took her into politics where she had an immediate impact - helping bring in a record haul of fundraising dollars as the Kentucky House Democratic caucus defended its majority.
Since then she was a leader in the teacher’s movement in Kentucky, worked with multiple candidates at the State and Federal level, and has guided new organizations all while successfully developing and executing innovative strategies in digital and political organizing, and finance. She even ran for office herself.
In 2018, she co-founded Blue Dot Consulting to further expand the mission and help like-minded candidates, caucuses and causes pursue a better world. The results speak for themselves.
Kelsey’s mantra is, “Kentucky is worth fighting for.” And that’s just what she is going to do.
Kelsey lives in Louisville, KY with her husband, Taylor, their dog, Miss Charles Barkley, and their new baby, Avery.
Fun Fact
In 2012, Kelsey thought she was only temporarily rescuing a tiny, 9 week old, stray dog. Nine years and 100lbs later and Miss Charles Barkley, a pit/chow mix, rarely leaves Kelsey’s side.
